This event is taking place on the first weekend of the NSW Public School Holidays. Saturday 26th September, Sunday 27th September and Monday 28th September 2026. Option to arrive or leave early. 

Please note we are reaching out for Registered Adult Helpers, Rovers, Adults Leaders and Fellowship to support on these days. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW. Ideally 2 or more adult members to join with Tristan and a minimum of 5 youth to proceed.

Prerequsite OAS bushwalking stages 1 & 2. All youth and adults require a current Scouts NSW membership number and financial status. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW.

Child safety is our number one priority at Scouts NSW. Therefore, all Adult Helpers are thoroughly screened, undergo a Police Check, must hold a valid, verified Working With Children Check and undertake two online training modules to ensure the safety of our youth members.

Generally suitable for entry level with good health and fitness. Please note this route does include some undulating landscape and hill climbs.

Carrying a loaded pack can be strenuous and requires good health and fitness. Suitable for active kids who exercise and or play sport regularly.

• Toilets and showers are available. 
• Self catering applies and public transport is available to and from the venue.
• We are using multiple modes of transport.

A beginner-friendly overnight bushwalk exploring Sydney Harbour's hidden gardens, peaceful foreshore tracks and hidden pockets of tranquillity. Travel by ferry, camp at Cockatoo Island, and discover tranquil oases in the middle of the city. Enjoy a relaxed pace while visiting unique public and historic gardens, waterfront parks and other hidden gems. Suitable for Older Cubs (10+), Scouts and Venturers.

The campground is Cockatoo Island. The island is managed by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust “Harbour Trust”. Cockatoo Island is the largest island in Sydney Harbour. It's located at the junction of the Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers and takes approximately 10 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay.

Public transport is available to and from the venue.
