Brief Summary:
Join us on a 5-day, 3-night canoe expedition along the Hawkesbury River, journeying from Windsor to Drubben Reserve. This challenging adventure is being planned and led by a youth member working towards their Peak Award. Experienced Scouts, Venturers, and Leaders are welcome to participate; however, previous canoeing experience, lightweight camping experience, and a good level of fitness are essential. Paddling OAS Stage 3 or higher is recommended. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place, as numbers are limited.

Description
Join us for an unforgettable canoe expedition along the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Over five days, you'll paddle through spectacular sandstone gorges, secluded bushland and peaceful waterways while developing your expedition, navigation and lightweight camping skills. This expedition is planned and led by a youth member working towards their Peak Award.
Who Can Attend?
- Experienced Scouts, Venturers and Leaders
- This event is not suitable for novice paddlers.
- Previous canoeing and lightweight camping experience is essential.
- A good level of fitness is required, as participants will paddle for multiple consecutive days and carry their own equipment.
- Paddling OAS Stage 3 or higher is strongly recommended.
Requirements
- Attendance at all theory sessions is mandatory.
- A practice journey is required prior to the expedition. This will be organised separately and communicated to participants at a later date.
- Participants must complete all preparation requirements to ensure they are adequately prepared for the expedition.
