Brief Summary:

This is a personal development course aimed at Venturer Section Participants. This two day (Non-Residential) course gives youth members the opportunity to grow and learn life skills which they can use both in their Unit's and in their day to day lives.

What?

The Personal Development Course is designed to help you on your Scouting Journey of 'doing your best'. For those of you aiming to complete your Peak Award, this course is a required step. '

It will be facilitated through a a fun mix of elements of the Scout Method, including Patrol Activities and Learning by Doing aimed to help you with your Personal Progression into Venturer Scouts and beyond.

Who?

We will have a mix of Adult Leaders, Mentors and Youth Members assisting to facilitate this course, each with experience in the Venturer Section and their individual topics.

Why?

For those working towards your Venturer Scout Peak Award, this course is a mandatory part of your Journey. For those who are not aiming for this, or are still unsure, this course will give you tools that you can take into your education and the workforce in a few years time, including coping with feedback, self improvement, and starting the journey of working out who you are!

Information about the Course

This is non residential course (No Overnight Camping), Youth members need to be dropped off and picked up each day.
The expectation is that people attend the full weekend for the course. Partial Attendence is not an option
This course is catered for (Morning Tea, Lunch & Afternoon tea).
- Please ensure you bring a mess kit, and note any dietary or allergies in your registration
Please bring a water bottle, pen & paper (Please note no devices will be permitted for notetaking)
Please wear your Uniform Shirt and Scarf
