Brief Summary:
Boree Regatta 2026 – Where Scouting, Guiding and Everything Aussie come together! Set against the stunning backdrop of Bonna Point, Kurnell, Boree Regatta brings together Scouts from the South Metropolitan Region and Guides from the Southern Rivers Region for a weekend of fun, adventure, friendship, and friendly competition. Packed with exciting land, water, and beach activities, Boree Regatta is the perfect place to put your canoeing and kayaking skills to the test, build on your bushcraft skills, camping and outdoor knowledge, and develop teamwork and leadership skills. The fun continues Saturday night with an Aussie-themed evening of entertainment. Youth members will enjoy a memorable night filled with unique Australian experiences, activities, and entertainment. Youth members can participate in JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) activities, connecting with Scouts and Guides from around the world. Boree is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make plenty of new ones, and create unforgettable memories along the way.

Gear up for a weekend of competition, adventure, and fun at Boree Regatta 2026!  Held at Bonna Point, Kurnell, Scouts and Guides from across the region will come together for an unforgettable experience.

What’s in store?
Get ready for an action-packed program of canoeing, kayaking, land and beach activities, plus Boree favourites including:
Ballistics – test your aim and skills
Raft Race – teamwork, strategy, and a race to the finish
Tallest Flagpole Challenge – showcase your creativity and pioneering skills

And the excitement doesn’t end with the youth!  Leaders, Ventures, and Rovers will also battle it out in their own fun competition.  Because at Boree Regatta, the best Guide/Scout wins, no matter their age!

When the sun goes down, the Aussie spirit comes alive! Get ready for a night of entertainment, including a disco, inflatable obstacle course, whip cracking demonstration, and a sheepdog display.

Get into the Aussie spirit by dressing up, decorating your rafts and campsites, and joining in the fun as we celebrate all things Australian. From iconic traditions to outdoor adventures, let’s create unforgettable memories together at Boree Regatta 2026!

In preparation for the event, please note that singlet tops, midriff/crop tops, and short shorts are not acceptable clothing. Clothing must have sleeves and should be sun safe. Enclosed shoes must be always worn. Shirts with collars are recommended. Crocs and thongs are not acceptable footwear for camp, and this includes unacceptable water shoes.

Eligibility
This event is only open to the South Metropolitan Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rovers, and Southern Sydney Rivers Region Guides and Olaves, registered Parent Helpers, and Leaders.

Under 18’s 
Must be registered and valid members of Scouts NSW or Girl Guides Australia at the time of application and through until 19th October 2026.
Have consent from their parents/guardians

Over 18’s including Parent Helpers and Leaders
Must be a registered and valid member of Scouts NSW or Girl Guides Australia at the time of application and through until 19th October 2026.
Hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) and Police Check.
Have completed the compulsory Mandatory Training (Child Safe Scouting and WHS for Scouting), and these modules are valid until 19th October 2026.

Event Fees & Payments
The event fees cover the contribution to the event, Boree Regatta.  Each group should charge its own cost to cover the catering and other group requirements.
Participants (Adults and Youth members) – $40.00
Boree Team Members – Free
Trainee Guides, AA Team Both Sat and Sun – Free 
Trainee Guides, AA Team Saturday – Free
Trainee Guides, AA Team Sunday – Free
SGARS Team - Free

The event fee includes the following, but not limited to:
2 nights of camping
1 night of entertainment
Adventurous activities – canoeing, kayaking, and bushwalking (Venturers/Senior Guides)
Fun activity games both on the beach and on land
Badge
Site security and logistics (including portable toilets, temporary roads, etc.)
Event registration fee

Refund Policy
All applications, payments, and e-permissions must be received before the closing date.  Any application not finalised before the closing date will be cancelled.

Late applications may be accepted with the approval of the unit leader, the Event Chairman or Event Coordinator, and the Region Commissioner.  Late applications will attract an administration fee of $5.  Unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Refunds for people who withdraw before the applications close will incur a $10 administration fee.

Refunds for people who withdraw from the event after the closing date are only available in exceptional circumstances due to costs incurred, unless there are documented exceptional circumstances.

All requests for refunds must be received before 4 pm on the 9th October 2026.

No refund will be given if an individual is sent home from the camp for any reason.

General Health
If you are unwell or showing symptoms of a viral disease, we ask that you stay home, self-isolate, and look after yourselves.

Event Cancellation
If the activity cannot proceed due to weather conditions, leaders will be notified via Teams, and unit leaders will then inform the participants.

Feeling Safe at Boree Regatta
Everyone in Scouts, youth and adults alike, have the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse. No one is allowed to threaten you, hurt you, or touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or afraid.

A Scout is respectful, and this applies to all interactions between all participants, youth and adults, at Boree Regatta.

You do not have to deal with abuse on your own. If you feel unsafe, threatened, or you see/hear something that causes you concern, please speak to a Leader or Rover on an activity. Your concerns will be taken seriously. The information you provide will be shared with people who can support and protect you.
If you do not know what to do, talk to someone at the Boree Regatta Team!

If, for any reason, you do not feel the concerns of this nature that you raised Boree Regatta have been satisfactorily dealt with, please report your concerns directly to the Child Protection Team at the NSW State Office on 02 9735 9060 or via YouthProtection@nsw.scouts.com.au or to your parents.
The camp will have leaders present who are trained by Scouts NSW.
All adults who attend the event will have completed Working With Child Checks, a National Police Check, and Mandatory training.
